Cuisine, creativity and tradition with Amore in Capri
Our restaurant is located a few meters from the famous Piazzetta in the centre of Capri, along the picturesque road that leads to Tiberius. With contemporary decor that recalls the colours of the island and the Mediterranean Sea, the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with an intimate and relaxed feel both in the main dining room and in the open air terrace. Whether for lunch or dinner, at D’Amore Capri you can explore the culinary delights of the island which, in the capable hands of Chef Pasquale Rinaldo, take on a modern interpretation through only the best, locally sourced produce which is complemented by a selection of exceptional wines, hand picked with passion by our in-house Sommelier and owner Marco D’Amore.
History
The restaurant was founded in 1996 by parents Ernesto and D’Amore and called “Il Sollievo”. In 2014, the restaurant took on the family name “D’Amore”.
Over the last 3 years their son Marco has taken the helm of the restaurant and D’Amore has begun a transformation throughout – from the dining areas to the kitchen – based on sourcing the best produce and ingredients and a modern vision of hospitality with the help of the young and dynamic team in the kitchen and the dining room.
In 2019, the addition of the nationally acclaimed, young and talented Chefs Pasquale Rinaldo, added flair and vitality to the kitchen. In 2020, the restaurant starts receiving numerous accolades including those from Gambero Rosso, La Repubblica, Slow Food and the Association of Les Collectiorneurs in addition to the personal achievements that Marco has earned including Maitre Restaurateur della Confraternita Chaine de Roitissieurs and Ambassador of Taste for the Italian Association of the same name that honours the restaurants dedicated to enhancing and promoting the Italian food and wine industry.
